Some of my most transferable assets
A passion for Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, InDesign and good, strong coffee. In-depth knowledge of Acrobat, PowerPoint, Keynote, Suitcase, Fontbook and Microsoft Entourage. Very experienced working individually from start to finish, but thrives as part of a group. Can easily find my way around Powerpoint, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and many other exciting little pieces of software. Loves to direct photographers, designers and illustrators. Has been known to scuba dive and make people laugh.
A few personal highlights
2009-10. Starting to perform stand-up comedy and going freelance as a creative again.
2007-09. Took a full-time position as an Art Director at The Marketing Store London. Working mainly across McDonald’s and Vodafone, even managing to find time to refresh the Marketing Store ‘brand’ in between.
2007. Set up TheyMake.Ltd with a view to producing great design, art-direction and illustration for interesting clients. Still in progress.
2006. Design, illustration and artwork for ‘10 Dean Street’ The PizzaExpress music CD.
2006. The 2007 calendar for the Bath Rugby team. Excellent reviews in the sporting press and Bath Rugby’s best-selling calendar to date.
2005. Creating a complete identity makeover for famous London restaurant and jazz venue Pizza On The Park.
2004. Going freelance, working with WeLoveCreative
2004. Learning to dive in Thailand and inspirational travelling from there to Cambodia and back, Singapore and Australia – meeting wonderful people from many nationalities along the way.
2003. Designing the Nando’s @ BarM in Ibiza identity, menu and promotional materials. They never did get me that all-expenses paid trip to the launch party though!
2001. Completing a HND in Graphic Design with Distinction, whilst managing the studio full-time.
1999-2000 Being thrown straight in the deep-end, working on a huge very successful campaign for Tesco – promoting produce at a local level.
